Kamla Gond.
For me this lady is one of the bravest and strongest women in Janwaar. She is Asha‘s mother. Her trust in Asha and me paved the way for so many things which have happened in Janwaar.
She didn’t shy away from being threatened, mistreated and disdained. She somehow felt, that she had to let her daughter go … and she did. Despite her husband … And she keeps moving forward taking a lead among the village women. The way she is taking th elead during the skatepark construction is incredible. A true hero!
And above all, she is a very funny lady, always smiling even though her life is really tough.
She is as solid as a rock and very warm hearted!
We need more Kamla Gonds!
