The Divisional President of National Sports Uplift Council, Mr. Yusuf Baig, held a ceremony to honour the athletes of Panna district in late August. It was on the occasion of Major Dhyan Chandra Ji’s birthday and the National Youth Day. Asha was invited. She went there with Kalpana, Anil and her mother. She wanted to take more children but because of Corona, only 20 people were allowed.
Asha felt very, very happy – here is what she said: “I saw a beautiful joy on my mother’s face when people were talking about me and my work. They mentioned that I am from such a small village and doing such a good job. They are proud of me and all the children who are skateboarding in Janwaar.”
