Yesterday I received an email from Bidhan Acharya, a motorbiker from the Northeast of India. He connected with me via our homepage, asking for a homestay. I passed him on to the kids in the village and I never heard back – until yesterday. Yesterday I found this in my inbox:
“So I went to Janwar and stayed there for about 5 days and I was completely blown away with everything that I saw. You are an absolute inspiration and for the first time I saw something different that made all things work.
I have been traveling for the last 5 months on my motorcycle and Janwar was an absolute delight and highlight of my trip. I made a small video on how the Skateboarding has changed the very social construct of the village and I hope you like it. I am no big youtuber…just started out about 2 months ago……and through my channel I try to generate awareness about the Indian Gorkhas.
So once again, thank you for all that you have done and yes….. I am a fan and a supporter too I guess…..your rural changemaker sticker is the first sticker that I put on my bike. I wanted people to see it wherever I go.”
And here is the video he produced – Thank you Bidhan! This video is wonderful!
